If you haven't heard yet, there is a scam going around in Lake Oswego.

Our Lake Oswego Police Department has received reports of scammers and thieves claiming to be with the Lake Oswego or West Linn Police Department.  The scammer says they are a LOPD Sergeant and there is an arrest warrant demanding payment to "clear" the warrant.  Scammers mask their phone number so as to appear they are calling from a legitimate law enforcement agency.

The Lake Oswego Police Department will never call someone and demand payment to "clear" warrants or avoid an arrest.

If you ever have any concerns that you are talking to a real Lake Oswego Police Officer, call the non-emergency phone number 503-635-0238.
